Manufacturing Considerations

The friction-fit lid stays on during normal handling but is not designed to survive courier shipping without additional securing. For orders that will be shipped as individual units, we recommend adding a kraft paper sleeve, an elastic band, or shrink wrap around the closed box. For bulk shipments where boxes are packed in master cartons, the carton packing holds the lids in place.

What's the difference between this lift-off lid box and your hinged lid bamboo boxes?

This box has no hardware — the lid simply lifts off. It's simpler, less expensive, and has nothing that can corrode or break. Hinged lid boxes offer one-handed opening and the lid stays attached (no misplaced lids), but cost more due to hardware and assembly labor. Choose lift-off for packaging and occasional-access storage where cost is the priority. Choose hinged for daily-access applications where convenience matters.

Can the interior be lined or divided?
