Manufacturing Considerations

The foam insert is friction-fit into the box base — it can be removed and replaced with a different layout. We can supply replacement inserts with alternative cavity configurations as a separate SKU. The insert is held in place by a thin adhesive strip on the base — it won't shift during normal handling but can be peeled out with moderate force for replacement.

Will the EVA foam discolor or degrade over time?

EVA foam is chemically stable and won't yellow, crumble, or outgas over time — this is why it's used in archival-quality display cases. Keep the case out of direct sunlight (the UV can eventually break down EVA, as it does all foams) and the insert will last decades. Black EVA is the most UV-resistant color option.

Can the case be wall-mounted for display?

Yes. We can add keyhole hangers to the rear panel for wall mounting. The case lid would open downward or to the side depending on mounting orientation.
